- Dr Kamel Mekhnacha (born in 1970) received the engineering degrees (1994) in computer science from Constantine University, Algeria, and the M.S. degree (1995) and the Ph.D. (1999) both in computer science from INPG (Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble), France.
He worked as a research engineer at INRIA (The French National Institute for Research in Computer Science and Control) for four years where he worked on various projects involving the most recent approaches in Bayesian modelling, inference, and learning. He especially participated to the design and the development of the “ProBT” Bayesian programming tool.
He is a co-founder of ProBAYES Company (www.probayes.com) and is currently its technological director. His research interests include Bayesian reasoning and learning, and Monte Carlo methods. His applications fields include robotics, geometric modelling, car driving assistance, and bank risk estimation.
